There is a high demand for qualified IT specialists in South Africa, but there is a shortage of skilled individuals to fill these positions. With advanced training and job experience, young South Africans can fill this void. The NetHope Academy Intern Program bridges the divide between underemployed graduates and the country’s need for IT expertise. NetHope Academy develops its students’ IT and professional skills utilizing the most current training of technologies.

NetHope Academy South Africa is a twofold program. First, interns participate in an intensive two-week vocational training of market-relevant IT skills.  These skills are then put into practice when students are placed in four to six month long internships where technical knowledge is developed into practical experience and expertise.  Internships are coordinated in country, and interns receive daily mentoring and guidance. Throughout their time in the program, interns will have access to extensive online resources, the opportunity to earn industry-standard certifications, job placement assistance, and outplacement support.  As a result of the program, graduates transform into highly qualified IT professionals, armed with the experience and knowledge needed to be competitive and desired candidates for full-time employment in South Africa.
